Every cat lover must know it’s so difficult to understand your cats. They might love their toy so much today then get sick of it the next day. Making cat toy with toilet paper roll not only save you a few quids, but you are also giving waste materials more value before they are disposed of. My cats love anything made of paper so they love this DIY cat toy very much! It’s easy to make and only takes a few minutes.
What you need
- Toilet paper roll
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors
How to DIY Cat Toy with Toilet Paper Roll
- Cut toilet paper roll into rounds of 1cm wide. You’ll need 4 rounds.
- Squeeze 4 rings into each other and adjust the position until it forms a sphere. The picture shows how it looks from above.
- Add glue to the spots where each ring meets. Your cat can play with it after it dries!
DIY Cat Toy Review
I’ve tested this DIY cat toy with both cats, and have come to a conclusion that it’s more suitable for gentle cats. The gentle cat in my home loves chasing after it and it’s A LOT more durable when she plays with it. Another cat loves violent play (and he behaves more like a dog!) where he will jump right on top of the toy and tear it apart. The toy was destroyed in minutes because of the way he plays.
One of the best things about this toy is that I don’t have to worry about them going missing anymore. I can easily make new ones out of toilet paper rolls when that happens!
