In most countries, crochet hook size is usually expressed in millimetre. However, Japan crochet hook size is usually stated with a size number, not the measurement. As we all know, a lot of amazing crochet hooks, books, tools and yarn come from Japan (e.g. Tulip, Clover). When I was purchasing my yarn and crochet hooks in Japan, it confused me a lot. I believe this might happen to you as well, so I have created this Japanese crochet hook size conversion chart. Hope it can help!
